Adding Customers
Learn how to add customers to your loyalty program using QR codes or manual entry methods.
Overview
There are two primary ways to add customers to your Niqati loyalty program: through QR code scanning (customer self-service) or manual entry by staff. Each method has its advantages depending on your business flow.
Use QR code scanning for most customers — it's faster, requires less staff time, and gives customers control. Use manual entry for special cases or when customers prefer it.
Method 1: Customer Scans Your QR Code
This is the fastest and most customer-friendly method. Customers add themselves to your loyalty program in under 5 seconds.
Step-by-Step Process
- Go to your card detail screen in the Niqati app
- Tap "Wallet Link" or "QR Code" to generate your unique QR code
- Display the QR code to your customer (on your device screen or printed)
- Customer opens their phone camera and scans the QR code
- A web page opens with "Add to Apple Wallet" or "Add to Google Wallet" button
- Customer taps the button — card is added to their wallet instantly
- No app download, no sign-up form, no friction
Best Practices
- Print your QR code: Display at checkout counters, on tables, or in windows
- Include in marketing: Add QR code to receipts, business cards, and social media
- Staff training: Train staff to point customers to the QR code at checkout
- Multiple locations: Place QR codes throughout your business for visibility
Advantages
- ⚡ Fast — under 5 seconds from scan to wallet
- 📱 No app download required
- 👤 Customer self-service — no staff intervention needed
- 🌍 Works with both Apple Wallet and Google Wallet
- 🔒 Secure — direct wallet integration
Method 2: Manual Entry by Staff
Add customers manually when QR scanning isn't practical or when customers prefer staff assistance.
Step-by-Step Process
- Go to the "Customers" tab in the Niqati app
- Tap "Add Customer" button
- Enter customer's name
- Enter customer's phone number
- Tap "Save" to create the customer record
- Share the customer's unique QR code with them (optional)
